- Gravfund fra broncealderen fra Skaalevik, Fitje sogn og pgd. Søndre Bergenhus amt##Fundet blev gjort af hr. cand. E. DE LANGE i en af de runde røiser paa "Kalveidet" mellem Vespestadbugten og Skaalevik (cfr. N. Fornl. s. 356). Røisen, no. 2 i rækken, var 25 m. i tvermaal og 3,50 m. høi. En del af syd- og vestsiden var tidligere rørt. Røisen var bygget af ret store sten, særlig var der i midten en kjerne af meget store sten paa mere end et mandsløft. Der var ingen jord mellem stenene. - 5 m. fra vestre kant fandtes et gravkammer, 1 m. langt, 0,60 m. bredt, bygget af fire heller, med en helle som overligger og med en sjette som bund. Kammeret var anlagt paa røisens bund. Paa bunden laa et lag af aske og brændte ben, de sidste i usedvanlig store stykker. Blandt benene fandtes de nævnte oldsager, undtagen pincetten; denne laa udenfor kammerets østre kant tæt op til bundhellen. Den manglende halvdel af pincetten var ikke at finde. - 2,5 m. indenfor dette kammer fandtes et større, 2 m. langt i retning nord-syd. Kammeret var bygget af store sten, hvis flade side vendte ind mod graven. Sidestenene var 70 cm. høie. Graven havde tre dækheller, hvoraf den i gravens søndre ende laa paa sin plads, mens de to andre var gledet ned, saa de stod paa kant i graven; den ene af dem var desuden knækket. Bunden var overstrød med smaa strandsten. Ved den nordre endesten fandtes to sten, spidse i den ene ende og sat mod hinanden som et tag. Der fandtes ingen oldsager, hverken i eller omkring kammeret
