Sjøfly fra Widerøes Flyveselskap på havna i Harstad.
Flyet var av type DHC-3 Otter ("Single Otter"), produsert av De Havilland i Canada. Widerøe hadde avtale med SAS om å fly tilbringerruter til SAS’ stamruter i Nord-Norge, og anskaffet fra 1954 og utover flere av disse flyene. Widerøe solgte sine Ottere da kortbanenettet var operativt i 1971.
