- Dette fotografiet er hentet fra et arkiv der bildene i hovedsak er tatt av statens regionale skogfunksjonærer og medarbeidere fra skogdirektørens kontor (senere Direktoratet for statens skoger) i samband med befaringsreiser i forvaltningsdistriktene. Negativsamlinga, med samme nummerering, er også overlatt til museet, men mye mangler og noe er dårlig bevart, blant annet fordi opptakene i hovedsak er gjort på nitratfilm. Dette bildet har ikke bevart originalnegativ. I det fotografiske arkivet fra den statlige skogadministrasjonen finnes også et større antall diaskopier, samt originale positivkopier utenfor katalogsystemet, men med samme originalnummerering fra DSS. Samlinga omfatter dessuten et betydelig antall nyere positivkopier som er registrert på emne og person hos DSS, uten egne nummer.
