- I 1970 mottok Norsk Skogbruksmuseum 205 gjenstander som et depositum fra skogbruksavdelingen ved Norges Landbrukshøgskole. Dette er ett av disse objektene. De gjenstandene som ble overført til museet later til å ha inngått i ei demonstrasjonssamling som ikke lenger var så aktuell i skogbruksundervisninga på grunn av den raske driftstekniske utviklinga som hadde skjedd i det norske skogbruket de første par tiåra etter 2. verdenskrig. Dette passet bra for museet, som var i ferd med å reise en ny driftsbygning der det skulle innredes utstillinger, hvor en god del av materialet fra Landbrukshøgskolen ble brukt til å illustrere historiske forhold i skognæringa.
