Albumtekst:
These Americans - all Texans - could make up the first flight crews outside Britain and France to fly Concorde. From the Braniff Airlines, they shortly begin training on this Link Miles/Redifon simulator at the British Aerospace training centre in southern England. The training is in readiness for the new Washington-Dallas route to be operated by Braniff from november 1 of this year. On this route, three days a week, a US crew will fly Concorde sub-sonically to Texas after its
2 172 kph flight from London to Washington.
The five Braniff men have already completed a 6-week classroom course. After 56 hours on the aircraft simulator they will begin flight training at Brize Norton air base in Oxfordshire, to be followed by line operation with British Airways on the Concorde routes to New York and Washington.
