Finnmarken avis har gitt bildene til Fylkesbiblioteket på 1990-tallet. Vi vet ikke så mye mer om dette. Om samlingen: Brødrene Arne og Ragnar Karlsen startet fotoforretning/atelier (før krigen) i Kirkenes. Vi eier deler av samlingen. Resten finnes i Sør-Varanger museum.

Tilstedet ved anledningen var blant annet: den russiske millitærattache i Norge oberst G. C. Tarasov, ambassadesekretær Popof, Gottfred Høgvold, byråsjef E. A. Colban, generalmajor A. D. Dahl, sjef for Finnmark Landsforsvar oberst Reidar Løvlie, grensekommisær oberst-løytnant A. Magaus, konstituert fylkesmann i Finnmark Dag Tønder og en rekke lokale autoriterer fra Kirkenes. De er antagelig avbildet i fotografiene uten å være identifisert.
