Disse pluggene ble laget på 1950-tallet, av det fortsatt eksisterende firmaet R.Hirscmann company (Tyskland).
De ble laget for radoi- og tv i privathushold, til for eksempel å koble opp høyttalere. De har samme størrelse på stikkene som eldre stikkontakter, noe som kan være farlig fordi isolasjonen i pluggene er for svak for 110- eller 120Volts kurs.

These plugs were made in the 1950s by the still existing R.Hirschmann company (Germany). They were made for domestic radio and TV purposes. (connecting speakers etc.) They also fit into many old household sockets (same pin measurements) which is quite dangerous since the isolation of the plugs is too weak for 110 or 220 Volts.
