Arentzsamlingen etter sivilingeniør Fritjof Arentz (1899-1995), Oslo, består av fotografier med motivkrets fra hans og familiens liv, for det meste fotografert av ham selv.
Fritjof Arentz vokste opp i Trondheim. Han utdannet seg ved maskinlinjen på Norges Tekniske Høyskole hvor han ble uteksaminert i 1924. Arentz flyttet til Oslo i 1925 og bosatte seg på Bygdøy i 1929 med kone og barn hvor han bodde livet ut.
Ferieliv var i Fritjof Arentz' barndom og ungdom knyttet til gården Trøan ved Orvos stasjon på Rørosbanen, Røros, eid av familien Ormhaug. I 1939 kjøpte familien gården Ligardshaugen i Nordbygda, Eggedal som feriested.
