Detalj fra frørensemaskin ved Statens Skogfrøverk på Hamar. Fotografiet viser et skråttstilt, rystesåld over et skråplan som tilsynelatende avsluttes ved en stående striesekk. Bildet er det sekstende i lysbildeserien "Fra kongle til frø", som ble produsert for Landbruksdepartementets film- og billedkontor av Lasse Thorseth i 1957. I tekstheftet til den nevnte bildeserien har fagkonsulenten, forstkandidat, byråsjef og frørådsleder Toralf Austin, knyttet følgende kommentar til dette motivet:

Deretter [jfr. SJF-F. 002640] går frøene til rensemaskiner som fjerner alt som ikke skal være med i den ferdige vare. "

Dette fotografiet er fra bildesamlinga til Det norske skogfrøverk, nærmere bestemt diassamlinga. Dette opptaket inngikk i en svart-hvit bildeserie om virksomheten ved Skogfrøverket som ble produsert for Landbruksdepartementets film- og billedkontor av Lasse Thorseth (foto) og Toralf Austin (teksthefte) i 1957. Ved Skogfrøverket var noen av fotografiene fra denne serien klipt ut og satt i rammer for bruk i ulike formidlingssammenhenger, mens andre var blitt værende på rullen de var levert i fra LFB.
