- Frå Mannhaftehaugen på Eide. "Mannhaften" heitte eigentleg Ola Odmundson Seljestad (1852-1920). Namnet "Mannhaften" kom av at Seljestad hadde eit fast uttrykk: "Det var mannhaftigt gjort", sagt om noko som var bra gjort. Han sjølv likte ikkje å bli kalla det. Mannhaften var ein enkel kar, dei sa at han leste avisa opp ned og las "stort forlis" når han såg skuta på biletet låg med mastene ned. Han budde i den vesle stova på biletet, som låg omtrent der som Odda vgs yrkesskulen ligg i dag. Haugen vart også kalla Bibelhaug. Hunden er Bruce-hunden Besla.
