Familien Beate og Halvor Olsen Haugnes budde nokre år i Ringkjøbhuset ("Nøysomheten"), Bakke bruk nr 74, på hjørnet Moen / Skulegata. Huset var frå 1912-13. Eigarselskapet AS Hovden kjøpte huset av Ringkjøb i 1918. Halvor var "sjef" (formann) i Lindehuset og budde godt. Alfred Haugnes har fortalt i intervju med museet at kjellaren var godt utstyrt med gryte til å varma vatn i og ei vaskemaskin med handdriven trommel / kadl. I kjellaren var det også baderom med badekar. Vatnet varma dei i den vedfyrte gryta. Utstyret var felles for alle i huset.
Kjøkkenet på fotoet er utstyrt svært typisk for si tid rundt 1920: Det står ei laus kokeplate oppå den vedfyrte komfyren og på golvet står ein elektrisk steikeomn. Slike omn som kan vera laga lokalt på ein av verkstadane på "smelteverket" (karbid- eller cyanamidfabrikken). Kraftmuseet har ein slik i 1920-leilegheita i Folgefonngata 11. Også firmaet Brødrene Gulbrandsen selde frittståande omnar.Fotografering: 1920 - 1929
