Født i Sandefjord 24.07.1881. Sønn av Anton Larsen (1856-) og Hilda Singdahlsen (1855-), ugift. Begynte i lære hos Backlin, Sandefjord 1898, gikk også i malerlære hos Wilh. Wetlesen og Chr. Krogh. Var en tid journalist. Startet først atelier på Hadeland, overtok så i 1903 det atelieret i Larvik som (siden 1896) hadde vært brukt av "Thea Nielsens Eftf." (Widerød) og fra 1902 av Andreas Hansens enke, Anna Hansen. I 1908 overtok han I. Dahls atelier i Sandefjord. (Dahls atelier i Tønsberg hadde denne i 1897 overlatt til Joh. M. Henriksen.) Bryn drev på hevd. Forretningen opphørte i 1945. I 1915 konstruerte han "Fotograf Bryns kopieringsbord for fagfotografer". Formann i Vestfold fotograflaug fra 1930 til 1935.
