Svalbardsedler er fellesbetegnelse på sedler som sirkulerte på Svalbard fra 1916 til 1980, og var rent formelt betalingsmidler ikke penger. Kullselskapene trykte egne sedler som de brukte som betalingsmiddel på Svalbard.
Gruvesamfunnene var langt unna fastlandet og det var behov for penger til å betale lønninger og til bruk av gruvearbeiderne ved kjøp av varer og tjenester. Svalbardsedlene kunne bare brukes på Svalbard og var bare gyldige under en sesong.
Valøren var trykket på og var fra begynnelsen av små, fra 10 øre, via 50 øre, 1 krone, 5 kroner og 10 kroner. Fra 1924/25 sesongen kom større valører som 50 kroner og 100 kroner, og etter 1949/50 kom 500 kroner og 1000 kroner.
