Innhøstingsstokken som modellen er en miniatyr av brukes i innhøsting av de viktigste høytvoksende fruktene på Tonga, så som brødfrukt og papaya. Som et metafor brukes 'lohu loa' eller den lange innhøstingsstokken' som en beskrivelse av det å søke langt bakover i genealogien for å avgjøre rangforskjeller i samtiden. Den metaforiske motsetningen finnes i uttrykket 'to'u kai mo hono lohu' som betyr 'hver avling/generasjon har sin egen innhøstingsstokk'.- Oseania Polynesia Tonga Tonga
Produksjon
Modellen er laget ved at et utoverbøyd trestykke er sydd til den ene enden av en trestav med kokosrep tredd gjennom hull i trestykkene og deretter plugget fast med treplugger. Mellom de to sammensydde trestykkene er det en skarp kløft egnet til å vri ned frukt så som papaya og brødfrukt- produsent iFe'ao Fehoko
