- I anledning oppussing av fasade og bygging av ny terrasse på husets V-side mot fjorden blei det gjennomført ei nødgraving. Buskerud fylkeskommune gjennomførte registrering i det berørte området høsten 2009, men Riksantikvaren mottok ikke saken tidsnok til å kunne fatte vedtak i saken innenfor tidsfristen. KHM vurderte det likevel som vitenskapelig viktig å gjennomføre en nødgraving, og sto selv for kostnadene i tilknytning til undersøkelsen. Det berørte området ligger få meter fra den bevarte dyssa "Holtnes I". Denne er delvis undersøkt, men ingen diagnostiske funn blei da gjort (se Lindblom 1980). På stedet der huset står skal det etter opplysninger fra Truls Lien, gårdbruker på Holtnes, tidligere ha stått ytterligere ei dysse, kalt Holtnes II, men denne skal ha blitt fjerna i forbindelse med bygginga av huset omkring 1920. Oppussingsarbeidet medførte fjerning av en del masser umiddelbart V for huset. Det berørte området besto av opparbeida hage med plen. Undergrunnen besto av grusholdig, fin, gulbrun sand. Funna under dette C-nummeret framkom ikke ved konvensjonell utgraving: Undersøkelsen omfatta i hovedsak sålding av masser som var lagt til sides. I tillegg blei det gravd opp masser i ei grøft i anledning planering og forskaling for ny terrasse. Grøfta gikk i bue framfor huset, og var til sammen ca 15 m lang og 1,5 m brei. Grøfta blei grovt delt i to deler, og massene fra de to delene blei sålda separat. Dette antyder en konsentrasjon av funn i ytterkanten av det berørte området SV for huset. Deler av de gjennomsøkte jordmassene kan muligens stamme fra tomta etter den fjerna dyssa Holtnes II, dersom opplysningene om denne stemmer. Jordmassene blei sålda maskinelt på et brett med 10mm maskevidde med underliggende netting med 16mm maskevidde. Splinter og mindre artefakter er trolig underrepresenterte i materialet, da funn fra steinalderboplasser normalt såldes med 4mm maskevidde. Anslagsvis 15 kubikkmeter masse blei sålda. Maskinsåldinga har ført til noe skader på en del av artefaktene: Enkelte funn uten sekundær bearbeiding ser derfor ut til å ha dels fin retusj, dels bruksskader langs sidekantene. Det meste av disse trekkene skal trolig tilskrives såldemetodikken, ikke egenskaper ved artefaktene. Tre stykker slått fra slipte flintøkser er blant funna. Disse ser ut til å komme fra tre ulike økser. Ett av dem er fra eggpartiet fra en øks med slipte bred- og smalsider, og med tydelig hvelva bredsider - trolig en tynnakka type. Også et annet slipt avslag er fra overgangen mellom bred- og smalside (begge sider slipt) på en øks. For øvrig er A-piler og til dels svært kraftige flekker og flekkeredskaper (tilvirka med sylindrisk teknikk) karakteristisk for funna. Det blei ikke funnet keramikk. Typologiske trekk tilsier datering av funna til MNa eller ned mot overgangen TN-MNa. Dette sammenfaller godt med funnstedets høyde over havet, samt med strandlinjekurven og en anslått datering av den nærliggende megalittgrava. Hvorvidt funna representerer boplassfunn eller er spor etter en grav som har stått der huset på eiendommen nå står, kan ikke avgjøres på bakgrunn av funna.
