Alt fundet sammen (Aug. 1868) ved Brydning af Nyland paa Gaarden Kvien i Vang Pgd. i Valders, i Nærheden af en stor Sten. Der var intet Spor til Ben eller Kul; heller ikke nogen Stensætning omkring Sagerne. Ligesom der saaledes ikke i Omstændighederne ved Fundet gives nogen Grund til at antage en Begravelse paa Stedet, saaledes afvige ogsaa Sagerne fra Gravenes Indhold, idet vi her saagodtsom udelukkende har Redskaber, medens i Gravene Vaabnene og Smykkerne indtage den første Plads.
Flere af de fundne Sager er ualmindelig smukt og omhyggeligt arbeidede. Saxen, 5" lang, (fig. 43), der forresten er af den i yngre Jernalder sædvanlige Form, har øverst oppe en bevægelig Bøile til at bære den i, og paa Siderne, som Afbildningen viser, fine indtrykte og indgravede Zirater. Spænden (fig. 44) er af usædvanlig Form, dannet af ganske tyndt, i Kanterne zirlig udtunget Jernblik. Den ene af Nøglerne har Zirater i samme Stil som de paa Saxen forekommende. De smaa runde Jerntener har udentvivl hørt til en Linhekle, hvis Plade har været af Træ. Linhekletinder af samme Form er funden i en yngre Jernalders Grav paa Tanem i Lardal Pgd. i Jarlsberg (N. Fornl. 195) og en Linhekle, som har været gjort helt af Jern, med tildels endnu bevarede Tinder, i en Grav fra samme Tidsrum paa Rabstad i Vang Pgd. paa Hedemarken (N. Fornl. 68).Funnet
