Dette funnmaterialet består av i alt 203 gjenstander innsamlet i forbindelse med arkeologiske sikringsundersøkelser utført i regi av Oppland fylkeskommune (OFK) og Kulturhistorisk museum (KHM) ved Åndfonne, høsten 2011. Det ble da foretatt en systematisk innsamling og dokumentasjon av arkeologiske gjenstander som var smeltet fram langs fonnkanten. Feltarbeidet ble utført i perioden 1.-12. august (F.100-283) og 4.-8. september (F.252-283). Funnmaterialet omfatter også 17 funn fra OFKs registreringer ved fonna året før, den 18. august og 7. september 2010 (F.1-15, samt 2 uten funnummer). Gjenstandene ble innført på to aksesjonsnumre ved innlevering/ankomst til KHM; 2011/207 (funn fra registreringene) og 2011/280 (sikringsundersøkelsene). Det er også funnet to depoter av skremmepinner ved fonna (et i 2010 og F.210 fra 2011), men disse er katalogisert under C57837. Feltarbeidet er utført innenfor rammene av Det brearkeologiske sikringsprogrammet i Oppland.
Gjenstandene lå spredt på overflaten av steinura rundt fonna. I de tilfeller hvor det er observert annet vedr. funnkontekst, er dette beskrevet for de enkelte nummer i katalogen. Det finnes også en rapport som omhandler håndteringen av dette funnmaterialet og en spesifisering av kontekstopplysninger (Wangen 2016). Alle funn er forøvrig nøyaktig innmålt med CPOS. Innmålingsdataene og en vurdering av lokaliteten som helhet vil foreligge samlet i rapporter som utarbeides innen prosjektet. De oppgitte koordinatene angir beliggenheten til fonna, og tilsvarer et punkt i dens midtparti.
Gjenstandene er sortert etter gjenstandstype, hvor alle gjenstander av samme type er gitt samme undernummer. Undernumreringen er dessuten benyttet for å sortere ut og fremheve hvilke gjenstandsdeler de mange funnene av skremmepinner består av. Funnmaterialet er dermed fordelt på i alt 20 undernummer. Innen hvert undernummer er gjenstandene sortert etter stigende funnummer i felt. Funnummeret fungerer dermed som et under-undernummer, og dette er ført i tallfeltet Unr2 i gjenstandsbasen, som har sorteringsfunksjon.
Foruten jernspissene til 4 av i alt 6 piler, er samtlige gjenstander av organisk materiale; tre, never, ull/hår, skinn/lær, bein/gevir. Den dominerende funngruppen består av 181 hele eller deler av skremmepinner (unr. 1-13) inkludert neverstykket (unr. 17) som trolig er toppen til en skremmepinne. Det er altså kun 22 funn av andre gjenstandstyper. 7 av disse er jaktvåpen (unr. 14 og 15), og 12 funn er rester etter byttedyr (unr. 18 og 19). Bare tre funn kan være rester etter annet utstyr og/eller plagg som er benyttet av jegerne ved fonna (unr. 16 og 20). Inntil andre og flere funn foreligger, kan Åndfonne derfor karakteriseres som en ren fangst-/jaktlokalitet.
Foreløpig er elleve gjenstander fra Åndfonne datert; hvorav 8 radiologisk og 3 typologisk-kronologisk, og disse angir en tidsramme for bruken av fonna. Foruten en bue og 4 funn av bein/gevir, er de øvrige daterte gjenstandene piler. Den foreløpig eldste dateringener et pilskaft fra eldre bronsealder, C57838/14.F279; 1750-1690 calBC, og den yngste er en pil med jernspiss som kan gis en typologisk-kronologisk datering til vikingtid/tidlig middelalder, C57838/14.F3. Dette utelukker imidlertid ikke at det finnes både eldre og yngre gjenstander i materialet, og at det kan være opphold i bruken av fonna i perioder. Det er redegjort for dateringene av de enkelte gjenstandene i katalogen (unr. 14.F2, 14.F3, 14.F14, 14.F249, 14.F250, 14.F283, 15.F283, 19.F102, 19.F109, 19.F147, 19.uten nr.). I tillegg til disse er også en skremmepinne fra ett av depotene (C57837/1.F4) datert til eldre jernalder (folkevandringstid).
