Arkeologisk utgravning av bosetningsspor i forbindelse med utvidelse av eksisterende kirkegård ved Askim kirke. Planområdet ligger i dyrket mark på et høydedrag ca. 0,5 km N for Askim sentrum, og ble registrert ved sjakting utført av Østfold fylkeskommune i 2009 (Bertheussen 2009). Undersøkelsesområdet ligger nært opp til middelalderkirkestedet ved Askim kirke (ID-49534). Flere kulturminner er registrert i nærområdet, hovedsakelig gravhauger og gravfelt (ID-68901, 68900, 11147, 59122, 68906 og 49532). ID-127728-30, bunnlaget av en gravrøys og kokegroper ble undersøkt høsten 2009 (Bukkemoen og Nybruget 2010). Ved den arkeologiske utgravningen ble det åpnet et felt på ca.2448 kvm ved maskinell flateavdekking. Det ble påvist tre treskipede langhus, i tillegg til kokegroper og ildsteder. Fra samme gård er det tidligere innkommet C4026-27 og C24031-32 (hovedsakelig artefakter av flint) i tillegg til C57493 (funn og prøver fra utgravningen høsten 2009). 44 makrofossilprøver fra fyllmassen i profilet til takbærende stolpehull er analysert av Annine Moltsen ved NOK (2010) og 10 kullprøver er vedartsbestemt av Helge I. Høeg (2010). 10 kullprøver og 9 prøver av makrofossiler av korn er radiologisk datert ved Nasjonallaboratoriet for C14 datering ved NTNU (DF-4330). Funn og prøver fra Hus 1 og 2 som ligger innenfor samme hustomt, orientert NV-SØ. Hus 1 var yngst og bestod av 10 takbærende grinder og har vært ca. 26 m langt og ca. 6,5 m bredt. Foruten den SV-delen var huset omgitt av en kraftig veggrøft som viser at huset har hatt rett gavl med avrundede hjørner. Det ble ikke funnet stolpehull i selve grøften, men noen mulige veggstolper fremkom i forlengelse av veggrøftens avslutning i SV-del. To ildsteder lå sentralt i husets N-del omgitt av flere nedgravninger og mulige bevarte deler av leiregulv. Hus 1 har trolig hatt flere faser, det viser utskiftninger av stolper, og vært inndelt i bolig- og fjøsdel. Hus 2 bestod av minst 6 grinder og var ca.14 m langt og ca. 5 m bredt. Sentralt i huset var det bevart tre ildsteder som viser at huset har hatt flere faser. Hus 1 og hus 2 har avvikende grunnplan i N-del, men stolpehullene i S-del er vanskelige å skille fra hverandre.
