Funnene stammer fra felt E på ENGELAUG VESTRE (221/1), LØTEN K., HEDMARK, hvor det i dyrket mark ble funnet en rekke boplasspor i form av stolpehull, kokegroper og ildsteder som er datert til yngre romersk jernalder og begynnelsen av folkevandringstid. I tillegg ble det funnet to
jernvinneovner som er datert til henholdsvis yngre bronsealder og eldre romertid. Funn 1-11 & 13-15 er metalldetektor- eller løsfunn. Funn nr. 12 er fra en
grop med brente dyrebein og trekull som er datert til mellommesolitikum. Funn 16-18 stammer fra
kokegroper, mens 19-25 er fra de to jernvinneovnene.
Utgravingen ble foretatt i forbindelse med anleggelse av ny FV 116 fra Nyhuset til Haukstad i Løten kommune, Hedmark (se også C.38456, C.38457, C.38458, C.38459, C.38460, C.38472, C.38490 & C.38620). Innberetning i top.ark. v/Ole Risbøl Nielsen.Funnet
