- Gravfelt og kokegropfelt avdekket ved maskinell flateavdekking foretatt av UKM forsommeren 2004. Undersøkelsesområdet ligger på en flat fulldyrket slette, avgrenset av Rv 171 i sør, og i nord og vest av boligområder. ca 300 m SØ for området går et NV-SØ gående høydedrag, på dette ligger blant annet gården Huseby lille (119/4), hvor det ligger en stor gravhaug (Askeladden 2961), og lenger mot Ø et større gravfelt med over 30 hauger (Askeladden 2964). Det utgravde området omfattet vel 4,5 mål, og avdekket i alt 290 anlegg, derav 10 fotgrøfter etter gravhauger, 9 bevarte graver og 182 kokegroper. Det ble gjort funn både i overflaten av strukturene og ved snitting/utgraving. Alle gravhaugene var utpløyd og var kun synlige ved fotgrøfter og noe rester etter haugfyll. Noen av haugene hadde rester etter, eller bevarte, graver. Det ble i tillegg funnet flatmarksgraver uten forbindelse med haugene. De fleste kokegropene lå i et NØ-SV gående belte i midten av feltet, og disse forholdt seg klart til haugene rundt, men det ble også ved flere tilfeller funnet kokegroper under gravhaugene. Gravningen er katalogisert under C53569-53590. Ved katalogisering har alle graver fått eget C-nummer, og alle fotgrøfter inkludert indre haug og strukturer knyttet til haugen har fått eget C-nummer, alle kokegroper er lagt inn under felles C-nummer, det samme er andre strukturer som kan oppvise funn samt løsfunn. Prøvenes nummer i felt følger egen prøveliste. Terminologien i katalogiseringen av leirkar følger Anne Aure Bagøiens klassifikasjon i "Leirkar fra Oddernes. Noen klassifiseringsmetoder", i UOÅ 1980/1981. C53571 omfatter funn fra A253, tolket som rester etter en brannbegravelse, muligens et brannflak i haug 2 som omsluttes av fotgrøft A123. A253 lå i NV del av haugen og betegner en uregelmessig, langoval struktur på 152 x 78 cm, bestående av et fyllskifte av kull, brent sand/silt og brunspettet jord. Under fremrensing fremkom brente bein i strukturens overflate. Snitting av strukturen viste en dybde på opptil 10 cm. Det faktum at brente bein og kull ble funnet i hele anleggets utstrekning, samt forekomsten av brent sand/silt tyder på at det kan være snakk om et brannflak.
