Stor, sterkt forrustet skjoldbule, foreligger nå i flere deler, av form som Rygh 564, helt typisk, med avsats, og høy, halvkuleformet bule samt bred rand.
b) Rester av feste for skjoldhåndtak, sterkt forrustet, bestående av 2 flate, brede bånd, naglet sammen over hverandre med to nagler, slik at den effektive avstand var 0,9 cm. Lengde 7 cm, bredde 2,5 cm. 2004: Kan ikke finnes.
Disse saker (SM.2720-29) er funnet i en stor gravhaug, 25 fot lang og 2-3 fot bred. I haugen ble funnet restene av en stor båt. Treverket var råtnet vekk, men naglene lå igjen sammen med båtens avtrykk i sanden. Båten var ca 20 fot lang, spiss i begge ender, 5 fot bred på midten øverst og hadde hatt 18-19 spant med omtrent 1 fots mellomrom. Båten var fylt med rød sand og ovenpå denne lå mørk jord, blandet med kull og aske. Ingen spor av bein. Oldsakene lå fordelt således at sverdhjaltene, uten spor etter klinge, ble funnet for seg et stykke utenfor båtens stevn, nær haugens ene ende. Oppi båten lå først i forenden brynet (2721), celten (2722) og en av øksene (2723 a eller b). I båtens midtparti lå en annen øks (2724) videre sigdfragmentet (2728 a) og de bortkomne sakene, de to ringene (2724) de to saksene og knivbladet (2726). I akterenden lå skjoldbulen med skjoldbeslaget (2725) og jernhanken (2728) Datering: Merovingertid, siste halvdel av 8. årh. (J. S. Munch, 1952)
