Fødd 14.04.1900. Margit er dotter av Bjørn Nordbø og Bergit Rådstoga, faren kom frå garden Nordbø i Langlim og mor hennar frå Rådstoga i Flatdal. Margit var eineborn. Reiste til Oslo der ho lærte å veve, og utdanna seg til organist på Musikkonservatoriet. Flutte heim att og var organist i heimbygda til ho fylte 70 år. Var og organist i Åmotsdal kyrkje og i kapellet i Manndal.
Dyktig gardbrukar, dreiv Myklestogo til å bli ein mønstergard for husdyrhald. Frå 1934 til 1953 var ho ein av hovudutstillarane på Dyrsku'n, fekk mange premiar.
Den store lidenskapen var å gå på auksjonar og kjøpe såkalla bondeantikvitetar.
I 1940 gifte ho seg med Bjørn Lien frå Svartdal, han flytte til Myklestogo. Dei fekk ikkje barn. Margit døydde 28.10.1979, og testamenterte samlinga til stiftinga Margit Liens Antikvariske Legat. Hovudbygningen på Myklestogo vart kjøpt til kultursenter i 1982, med tilskot frå Norsk Kulturråd, Seljord kommune og Seljord Sparebank. I 2004 vart Margit Liens antikvariske legat og Myklestogo kultursenter slått saman til Stiftinga Myklestogo.
Myklestogo vart selt i 2015 og stiftinga avvikla.
Dei fleste av gjenstandane er no teke vare på av Vest-Telemark Museum.
