Slutt på Marsøra i 1968
I fjor var det 40 år siden tømmerfløytinga i Vefsna tok slutt. Egenlig litt vemodig å tenke på når vi vet at det var de rike skogene i Hattfjelldal, Grane og Vefsn som i sin tid ga grunnlaget for et bysamfunn i Mosjøen.
I årsmeldinga til Vefsnfjorden Fellesfløtning for 1968 heter det: ”Arbeidet på Marsøra ble avsluttet fredag den 2. november 1968, som antakeligvis betegner den siste arbeidsdag i Vefsnas lange fløtningshistorie.”
Jeg besøkte Marsøra 28. august 1968 og tok da alle disse bildene.
Tilbake til årsmeldinga: ”Timelønnen ble satt til 9 kroner. Den gjennomsnittlige lønn for akkordarbeidet ble etter dette kr 17.489 for i alt 4.013 timer.”
Et annet sted skriver referenten: ”Arbeidslaget på Marsøra besto av 9 mann, og disse var: Per Andersen (motorbåtfører), Einar Erlandsen, Ottar Falck, Håkon Hundålvatn, Hermann Kvandal, Odin Pedersen, Alf Solvang, Agnar Øksendal og Terje Øyen. Fløtningsformann Sigvart Drevland foresto den daglige ledelsen.”
