HistorySogneprest i Oslo, Oscar Tellefsen, var habil fotograf. Han ble oppforstret hos lærer Lars Hvalby. (Lars Hvalbys kone og oscars mor var søstre). Oskars mor døde, derfor ble han oppfostret hos son tante og onkel og tok deres etternavn som sitt. Bildene fikk museet av Oskar sønn Dr. Hvalby og frue.
