    • Bobsleighbanen lå på østsiden av Holmenkollen, i bratt og vanskelig terreng. To sveitsiske bygningsingeniører, bobføreren Heinz Cattani og Emil Ingold, stakk ut banetraséen i terrenget. Selve bobbanen ble bygget under ledelse av Sigurd Lund og Carl Vendelboe i 1949 og 1950.
