Ble registrert i 1865 som plass uten jord, husmannsplass. Senere brukt som fritidsbolig, nå bygget ut som helårsbolig. Det skal ha bodd en tømrer Gjert her ved folketellingen i 1865. (Moss byleksikon)
Motivet er ikke Orkerødhytta, men Gjerthytta. Den ligger noen hundre meter unna. "Faders Minde" har ingenting med motivet å gjøre (og har neppe vært brukt som navn på Orkerødhytta, heller) :-)
