Beliggenhet: Omtrent 200 meter vest for Kakkeldalsveien, like ovenfor skoggrensen.
Bruk: Dette er en gammel gjeterbu som har vært restaurert flere ganger.
Forfatning: Bua er i fin stand etter den siste restaureringen i 1980-82. Den har benker og peis og tjener godt som hvilebu.
Byggemateriale: Steinbu med torvtak.
Annet: Bua ble trolig bygget av Beitrustenbrødrene Tollef, Jon (Ryfetten), Amund (Streitlien) og Hans (Rusten i Alta) i 1870-90 årene.
I 1912 ble bua stelt istand på ny. Denne gang var det Haldo Beitrusten og Ole O. Moseng som var gjetere og som satte istand bua. De fikk hjelp av fedrene sine, Tollef Beitrusten og Ole O. Moseng d.e..
I 1920 måtte taket på bua settes istand igjen. Nå var det brødrene Ola og Håkon Beitrusten som var gjetere og som sto for restaureringen. Takspon og materialer ble kjørt opp fra Beitrusten med geitebukker på vinterføre.
Da dette taket råtnet opp, ble bua stående i innpå femti år uten at noe ble gjort med den. Nå var det slutt på gjetingen, og det var ikke lenger bruk for bua som gjeterbu.
I årene 1980-82 ble bua satt i fullverdig stand igjen. Mange var med i dugnadsarbeid og det ble bevilget midler fra kommunen og fylket til utgiftsdekning.
Det er lagt inn en besøksbok i bua. I denne har Per H. Støen skrevet buas historie. (Kopi i arkivet)

NB! Omtrent 8-10 meter fra bua i retning Kakkeldalsveien (ut for døra og litt sønnenfor) står det innhogget i en jordfast stein: HTB TTB 1919 GM. Initialene står sikkert for Håkon Tollefsøn Beitrusten, Tormod Tollefsøn Beitrusten (brødre) og Gunnar (Olesøn) Moseng (93-1)
