Politiplakat datert 03.06.1793 som advarer mot ulovlig handel. Madam Leth var den eneste som hadde bevilgning og handelsprivilegium til å brygge øl til utenbys skippere ("skipsøl" / "skibsøl"), men opplevde at andre tok seg ulovlig tilrette. Politimester Klingenberg minner om at madam Leth har enerett på denne type handel i Trondheim.
Den nevnte madam Leth, er trolig Else Leth, enke etter Hans Leth.

"Politie Placat.
Da Madame afgagne Hans Leths Efterleverske allene er bevilget at maae brygge Skibs Øll for fremmede hertil Byen ankommende Skippere, hvorom disse af Mægleren bør underettes; Men Madame Leth er indkommen til Politie Kammeret med Besværing over at hun, i denne hendes Rettighed, fornærmes af adskillige uberettigede herpaa Stædet, som brygge Øll, og dermed forsyne nesten alle ihertil Stædet ankomne Skippere: Saa advares disse herefter at afholde sig fra saadan ulovlig og uberettiget Handel, under Tiltale og Straf efter Omstændighederne.

Hans Chr. Klingenberg avløste Næbell som politimester i Trondhjem i 1780 og tok avskjed etter ansøkning i 1800.
Klingenberg fungerte også som postmester i perioden 1787-1790 etter at postmester H. B. Alstrup flyktet til Sverige.

Trondheim politimuseum ble grunnlagt i 1918 av politimester Jelstrup og politioverbetjent Haavin. Samlingen registrert i 1935. Samlingen var utstilt på Trondheim politikammer i Hornemannsgården frem til 1942. Samlingen ble oppbevart hos Vitenskapsselskapet frem til den ble utstilt på nytt i Trondheim Tinghus i 1947. Der ble den værende til gjenåpningen i politihusets kjeller i i Kongens gt. 87 i 1975.
Grunnet plassmangel ble samlingen senere flyttet til det gamle Kriminalasylet i Kongens gate 95, og Trondheim politimuseum åpnet ny utstilling med temaet 2. verdenskrig i 1995. To år senere ble utstillingen utvidet til hele 2. etg. og deler av 1. etg.
Trondheim politimuseum ble nedlagt i 2000. Lokalene, samlingen og utstillingene ble overtatt av Norsk rettsmuseum (nå Justismuseet.)
