A. B. Dick kjøpte patentrettigheter av Edison. Produsert av A. B. Dick Company.

In a quiet way, the historical handshake between Thomas Edison and Albert Blake Dick in 1884 was the genesis of the Information Age. In 1884, experimenting with a file and waxed wrapping paper, Albert Blake Dick discovers the mimeograph process. The invention of the mimeograph, introduced with Thomas Edison's partnering support, initiated the era of modern printed communications. Prior to this invention, documents were reproduced by formal printing methods or at the hand of a scribe. In 1887 the first commercial mimeograph was marketed by A.B.Dick and changed the communications process forever.
