- Altertavlen ble skjenket til Såner kirke av Niels Tanch på begynnelsen av 1700-tallet. Den skildrer de tre mest brukte motivene på norske altertavler fra denne tiden: Korsfestelsen med Maria og Johannes knelende på hver side, nattverden og oppstandelsen. Det viser hvor sentral nattverdshandlingen var i den tidlig-lutherske messen. De to figurene som flankerer altertavlen, er trolig Moses til venstre og Johannes til høyre som symboliserer henholdsvis Det gamle og Det nye testamente. Altertavlen er antakelig et svensk arbeid.
