Av marinefartøyene til ankers i Pipervika er de to nærmeste britiske damp-korvetter av Jason - klassen. Disse ble bygget i 1860-64, ble raskt umoderne og tidlig tatt ut av tjeneste. (Unntaket var HMS Wolverine som ble overført til Australia i 1875.) Bildet må derfor være tatt i perioden 1861 til 1877.
