History

    • Skulestova kjem frå Brekke på Borgundøy, og var ein av dei første skulane i Sunnhordland etter "Almueskole - loven" i 1860.

      Med stønad frå "Opplysningsvæsenets Fond" vart denne teken i bruk i 1849. Dei første åra vart skulen og nytta til kurs for omgangskulelærarar som mangla nødvendig utdanning.

      I Hordaland var det lærarlærlingekurs i Brekke skule frå 1861-66.

      Skulen vart nedlagt i 1938 og flytta til Sunnhordlandstunet i 1973.

      Lærarbustaden var opphaveleg i lengd med skulestova. Den er ikkje ført opp på museet.
