Kunstneren Reidar Fritzvold (1920-1998) maler pensjonert museumsdirektør Tore Fossum (1926-2017) ved Norsk Skogbruksmuseum. Fotografiet ble tatt i februar 1995. Portrettet Fritzvold malte ble seinere opphengt i museets peisestue, som på dette tidspunktet var virksomhetens mest representative møterom.
Reidar Fritzvold var utdannet maler med Axel Revold som lærer og grafiker med Chrix Dahl som lærer. Han er mest kjent for sine mange norske naturmotiver, særlig fra Agder og Telemark. Han malte også fra reiser i Italia og Spania. Mot slutten av sitt liv hadde han et nært samarbeid med Norsk Skogbruksmuseum og med journalisten Sven R. Gjems om populærvitenskapelige bøker med jakthistorisk tematikk.
