Petter Nilsen (1869-1939) var urmaker og politiker for Arbeiderpartiet. Han grunnla arbeiderforeninger på Lillehammer, Hønefoss og Kristians Amt (senere Oppland fylke). Han var stortingspolitiker fra 1909 til 1918, og medlem av Lillehammer bystyre fra 1902 til 1928.
