Denne uniformen ble benyttet av giver mens han tjenestegjorde ved feltpostkontorene i Mazar-e Sharif, Meymaneh og Kabul i Afghanistan som en del av det norske ISAF-bidraget. Den norske feltposttjenesten i Afghanistan betjente både norsk og utenlandsk persjonell.
