Helt til venstre sees litt av Strandgata nr. 162, som ble revet i 1937 da Bergens Privatbank bygget nytt hus.
Det andre hjørnehus til venstre er Strandgata nr. 161 tilhørende Haugesunds Sparebank, som rev det ned i 1916 da Sparebanken bygget nytt hus. Huset tilhørte tidligere konsul L. J. Eide.
I bakgrunnen sees smed Olsens smie og telefonsentralen. Telefonsentralen ble revet ca. 1905/-06 og nytt hus bygget i 1907, som telefonselskapet senere solgte til kjøpmann Karl J. Jacobsen.
