Valhallfeltet ble oppdaget i 1975, og hadde produksjonsstart i oktober 1982.
Oljefeltet som ligger på ca. 70 meters vanndyp. Feltet ble opprinnelig bygd ut med tre plattformer (boligplattform, boreplattform, og prosess- og kompresjonsplattform), i dag har feltet totalt 8 plattformer.
