Ingvald Kvalheim født 30/11 1902 på Påterud i Hedenstad, Øvre Sandsvær, død 23/10 1999 på Vågsøy, Sogn og Fjordane
Sønn av kirkesanger og lærer Hans Kvalheim (dpt Hans Albert Olsen fra Røysen, Halsør/Vågsøy. Nordfjord i Sogn og Fjordane) og Oline Monsdatter (Oline f. 24.7.1855, finnes i Vaagsø i 1910)
Faren, Hans Kvalheim var lærer på Sem utenfor Tønsberg. Kirkesanger i Sandsvær. Hans Albert Olsen, f. 14.12.1868 i Nordfjord i Sogn og Fjordane. Nærmere bestemt på et sted som heter Røysen, Halsør i dagens Vågsøy kommune.
Hans sin far var Ole Nielsen og moren het Johanne Hansdatter. Ole Nielsen ble født 28.12.1836 på Ytre Qualem av foreldre Niels Pedersen og Alis Olsdatter. Ole Nielsen var bl.a. kirkesanger og lærer.
Ingvald vokste opp sammen med kusinen Inger Hagerup som også var hans nærmeste nabo.
Ingvald var dirigent for Vestre Gran Blandede Kor fra 1920-tallet og i mange år da Hans M. Næss ganske tilfeldig tok over: på en korøvelse i Ål kapell i 1959 skulle Kvalheim spille orgel og lurte på om Hans Næss ville dirigere fordi han hadde vonde armer og hadde vondt for å løfte de, etter det fortsatte Næss om dirigent i samarbeid med Kvalheim. Før Kvalheim ledet Vestre Gran Blandede kor var han dirigent for et rent kvinnekor i Gran (Hjørdis Blilie var medlem der). Rett før, - eller etter, - at han gikk av med pensjon, gikk han på musikkonservatoriet i Oslo (?) (og fikk toppkarakterer).
Lærer på Leikvoll i Gran 1925-1955, skoleinspektør Gran kommune 1955-62. Rektor Gran Yrkesskole 1962-1972. Gikk av med pensjon sommeren 1972.
Han var aktiv i Milorg under 2. verdenskrig, samtidig med at han var lærer på Leikvoll. Fungerte som lensmann i Gran fra frigjøringen i 1945, Berg var lensmann før og etter frigjøringen, da Kvalheim fungerte i en periode. Senere overtok Berg jr. som lensmann i Gran. Årsaken var at ved frigjøringen ble alle lensmenn avsatt. Berg ble senere gjeninnsatt.
Skolefanen til Leikvoll skole ble malt av Ingvald Kvalheim. Ole Øystein Kvalheim mener også at Kvalheim malte andre (Grymyr, Sanner og Trintom?)
Deretter var han med på å bygge opp Heimevernet (avd. 07 ?) i Oppland etter krigen, og var første områdesjefen der.
Han flyttet til Selje i Sogn og Fjordane rundt 1980, og bodde der til han flyttet til familiesmåbruket Røysen utenfor Måløy i 1988. Han havnet på Vågsøy Sjukeheim i Måløy med halvsidig lammelse ca. 1995, hvor han døde 23/10 1999.

Sønn av Ingvald Kvalheim som var lærer på Leikvoll skole 1925-1955.
Ole Øystein Kvalheim gikk på Leikvoll skole og hadde Marthe Grøsland som lærerinne i første klasse. Da var Grøsland ny lærer ved Leikvoll.
