Nord i Strandgata omkring 1905 og huset til høyre med porselenkoppene (ledningsfester) på hjørne var Telegrafen (Rikstelefonen) i Haugesund. Huset hadde da nr. 120. Telegrafen flyttet ned til Torggata 2 i 1913.
