Instrumentet skal stamme fra Trinidad. Spilles på med tilhørende trommestikker laget av bambus med hode av gummistrikk.
Det ble overrakt museet i 1973 av Brita Westergaard. Brita var på sommermøte på Ringve med foreningen Trondhjems Musiklærerforening den 29.05, og hadde med seg denne gave til museet.
