Sauskoppen har tilhørt Thora Johanne (Vesla) Rønning og Anne Kathrine Rønning. De har sannsynligvis arvet den etter sine foreldre.Mor, Rønnaug, var fra Steig i Sør-Fron. Sauskoppen kommer trolig derfra og er antagelig fra siste halvdel av 1800-tallet.
