HistoryEkofisk 2/4 R var en stigerørsplattform som knyttet feltene Cod, Albuskjell, Vest-Ekofisk, Edda, Eldfisk, Ula, Gyda og Tor til Ekofisk-senteret. Den ble installert i 1975 og satt i drift i 1977. I 1984 ble det montert en ny bro mellom Ekofisk 2/4 R og Ekofisk 2/4 T. Denne broen inneholdt blandt annet gassrørledningen fra Statpipe. Plattformen ble stengt og rørledningene koblet fra i 1998. Plattformen vil bli fjernet innen 2013.
