Disse bildene ble vel tatt da sentralen ble automatisert, og antakelig og Skibotn manuelle sentral. Den siste manuelle telefonsentralen som ble automatisert var Storsteinnes i Balsfjord, i 1986 - og Norge var fullautomatisert. Til sammenligning ble Sveits det første landet i Europa som ble fullautomatisert, i 1959.

Beklager det ble feil årstall på da Storsteinnes sentral ble automatisert - det var i 1985. Datoen var 20. november.
