Fra serie med fotografier fra Utenriksdepartementets presseavdeling. Tema: Sommer- og vinterlandskaper, mennesker og sport. Brukt som informasjonsbilder om Norge i London under krigen.
Regjeringens Informasjonskontor ble opprettet i London i februar 1941. Kontoret bestod av to hovedavdelinger med ulike oppgaver. Den norske avdelingen skulle binde nasjonen sammen ved å informere om alle sider av Norges kamp, særlig til nordmenn ute. Informasjonen her kom til London via legasjonens pressekontor i Stockholm. Den andre hovedoppgaven var å rette fokus mot Norge hos de allierte. Ved hjelp av radiosendinger, presseoppslag, utstillinger og foredrag ble kunnskap om norsk historie, kultur, motstandsbevegelse, handelsflåte og utefront spredt.
Informasjonskontoret bygde også opp en bildetjeneste og en egen filmavdeling som fremskaffet tidligere opptak og nytt filmmateriell om Norge. Bildeavdelingen ble ledet av Per Bratland og hadde 22 ansatte, hvorav fire fotografer.
