Kistevik sjøbad. Asbjørn Andersen skriv i HF i august 1987 at Byrkjenes ikkje er sjølve badeplassen, sidan den ligg i ei vik og ikkje på eit nes. Badeplassen heitte Kistevik Sjøbad, men vart ofte kalla Rikkabukta etter næraste nabo, som var Pelle "Rikka" Jonsson, ein gammal svensk rallar. Byrkjenes er der den tidlegare kaféen og gjestgivarstaden til Alfred Haugsnes ligg.
Albert Garberg meiner at betongmoloen midt på stranda blei bygd i 1933-34. Det vart søkt om ombygging av stupetårnet i 1960. Samstundes søkte ein om å byggje eit svømmebasseng med oppvarma vatn. Tretårnet/stupetårnet i bakgrunnen blei reve ca. 1961-62. Friluftsnemnda søkte om å få setta opp nytt i 1974, men fekk avslag.Kistevik sjøbad.
