  • Porkala-området sør-vest for Helsingfors i Finland (380 km2) ble «lånt» av Sovjetunionen i perioden 1944-56 og besatt med opp mot 30 000 sovjetiske soldater som et resultat av fredsforhandlingene i 1944.

    Dette ga Sovjetunionen full kontroll over innseilingen mot Leningrad (nå St. Petersburg).
